Dog Photo Contest September 2011 For Old Dogs
Welcome to my dog photo contest for September 2011 just for old guys and gals only (canine that is)! I can’t help it – I love old dogs and everything about them. They’re sweet, gentle and once in awhile grumpy – but who cares – aren’t we all?
This contest is monthly and for every dog owner whose lucky enough to have a dog the age of 9 and up! This is probably the first time in at least 15 years that I don’t have a dog over the age of 9 years old myself.
When I read the stories of all the senior dogs that are dumped in shelters every day, it just breaks my heart. It is your stories that give me hope in knowing that the older dogs in need of homes out there, will hopefully find one.

Our next winner is “Maggie”. This girl had a rough start in life, but life has been good to her since she was united with her forever family. This pretty old girl is the lucky winner of a $15 gift certificate from our wonderful friends and sponsor over at Barbara’s Canine Catering where she can choose from several different doggy drooling, home-made dog cookies. Yumm!
Our final prize is another $15 gift certificate in which I sponsor myself for some tasty, all-natural dog treats and cookies from Barbara’s Canine Catering. Little Beulah is our lucky winner this month. Her touching story shows that there are people out there willing to give an older dog a home. In this case, give an older with obvious health problems a home.
A big “thank you” goes out to “Holly” her owner for doings such a kind deed and adopting an older dog with such health issues. Beulah was rescued from a shelter at the age of 11 while undergoing treatment for heartworm and she recently had a stroke as well. Her loving owner cherishes the time she has with little Beulah.

HELLO NEWFIEWORLD. Welcome to our August 2011 Contest. In honor of the month of August, this months contest is our “AWESOME AUGUST” photo contest.
